You can run down to the beach between the old houses in 5 to 10 min, back to the hill in 10 to 15 min depending on your condition. It is 750 m walk and 70 m elevation gain.
From Malaga airport to the side: 83 km, by a car on the highway, or by a bus from the airport via Malaga

Costa Tropical
La Herradura
A pleasant village in the coastal region of the Costa Tropical, province of Granada. In the west, there is Cerro Gordo National Park with beatiful natural beaches.
The area offers many adventure and sports activities. Diving is very popular here, but also cycling, hiking, yachting, paragliding, resting on beaches, etc.
You can find here restaurants, bars, shops and sports equipment rentals.
Closeby cities are also accessible by bus. Nearby city Almuñécar has been here for 3500 years, and the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors and Christians were here. Who is interested in culture and monuments will appreciate a trip to Malaga, Granada (Alhambra Palace), or visit one of the traditional villages in the hills (Frigiliana).
The Sierra Nevada National Park is located within 100 km
(Veleta 3,394 m.a.s.l., Mulhacén

m.a.s.l.).
In summer, it is better to plan trips very early in the morning, it is usually quite hot inland. By the sea, the local climate is well tolerated, it is usually around 30°C to 35°C.
